As a beauty editor, one of my most surprising secrets is that for most of my life, I never really gave fragrances much thought. Bright top notes of orange blossom give way to a touch of floral and rich, salty vanilla. When I first read the rundown of the scent profile, I was worried this fragrance would be too sweet for my taste. (Indulgent gourmand scents may be having a moment right now, but I personally don’t love the idea of smelling like a pastry.) However, I was impressed by the subtle sweetness that’s effectively balanced out by the depth of the vanilla.
Since I first got my hands on the fragrance late last year, it has become a sensory portal transcending seasons; a spritz on my wrists instantly conjures up daydreams of blossoming citrus groves at the height of summer.
