Taylor Swift might be very open to sharing her emotions and experiences through her songwriting, but one thing she won’t do? Reveal her signature scent. She’s actually secretive about her entire beauty routine, it was only recently revealed that she uses Pat McGrath Labs for her signature red lipstick, and McGrath herself even made an appearance in the “Bejeweled” music video. However, there’s nothing Swifties love more than solving a mystery, and they may have cracked the case on her go-to fragrance (no, it’s not “weed or little babies”).

It starts back in her Speak Now era in 2010, when David Letterman claimed that the Folklore singer smelled like “expensive wood.” While she has yet to confirm what fragrance she was wearing at the time, Swifties and experts have concluded that she prefers warmer, subtly floral scents—and even have some guesses on what she was wearing.

Ahead, everything we know about Swift’s rumored favorite fragrances.

Tom Ford Santal Blush

Apparently a fan who attended Swift’s Reputation private sessions claimed Swift wore Tom Ford’s Santal Blush—apparently, the fan was wearing the same fragrance. It was then confirmed by the 2020 Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, in a scene that showed the bottle of perfume backstage at the Reputation tour. The genderless scent is labeled to be woodsy and earthy with notes of cinnamon bark, ylang-ylang, and sandalwood.

Tom Ford Tabacco Vanille

Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford, an elevated vanilla fragrance with hints of smokiness from tobacco leaf is also said to be in Swift’s fragrance rotation. It’s a similar scent to Wonderstruck Enchanted, a now discontinued fragrance Swift created with Elizabeth Arden.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum

Swifties also claim that Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb fragrance is another Swift favorite. It also has notes of vanilla with jasmine and rose. It’s a warmer floral, which tracks with Swift’s penchant for slightly sweet but deep scents.
